Free Shopify copy examples

Three homepage heroes that say what the store sells.

These are fictional examples, not claims about real stores or results. Use the pattern, then replace every product, audience, delivery, and proof detail with facts your store can support.

Example 1 · Product + use case

For a refillable-cleaning store

Refillable cleaning essentials for everyday messes.

Choose the bottles and refills that fit your routine. Check ingredients and delivery options before you order.

Primary CTA: Shop cleaning refills

Why it works: The first line names the product category and use case. The CTA leads to a matching collection, not an undefined “Learn more.”

Example 2 · Audience + product

For a children's rainwear store

Rainwear for kids who still want to play outside.

Browse waterproof jackets and boots by size. Check each product page for fit, materials, and care details.

Primary CTA: Explore kids' rainwear

Why it works: The audience and product are clear without an unverifiable superlative. Fit questions are answered at the point of choice.

Example 3 · Product + decision aid

For a loose-leaf tea store

Loose-leaf tea for your next quiet cup.

Find a blend by flavour and caffeine preference. Each tea page shows ingredients and brewing guidance.

Primary CTA: Find your tea

Why it works: The supporting line gives shoppers a way to choose, and the CTA promises a specific next step.

Three decisions before you paste a hero.

What if my store sells several kinds of products?

Start with the category or collection your main button will open. If no single collection represents the store, name the broader product type honestly, then let navigation show the rest. Avoid listing the entire catalog in one headline.

What should the supporting line explain?

Answer one question a first-time shopper would need settled before clicking: how to choose, what is included, or where to check delivery details. Only state shipping speed, savings, materials, or results if the linked products and policies support them.

Where should the button go?

Send it to the product or collection the button names, and test the path on a phone. A “Shop cleaning refills” button should not lead to an unrelated all-products page. Shopify's website-copy guide likewise frames the homepage around what you sell, why it matters, and a clear next step.

Make this specific to your store.

Write down your actual product, customer, useful difference, and desired next click. Then draft three headline directions with the free browser-local generator and check them against the nine-point Shopify homepage checklist.

If you want a human to review your real homepage, send its public URL and your desired visitor action. I will deliver one prioritized diagnosis plus a paste-ready headline, supporting line, and CTA within 24 hours. If it is useful, pay $29 after delivery; if not, you owe nothing.
